Hello, freeens!

Most notable workout of the week (thus far):
Biking the Via Appia with my friend Kelly. It was pretty sweet because the Appian way, the earliest, longest, and strategically most important road of the ancient republic, is lined with hundreds of tombs because Romans weren't allowed to bury or be buried within the city walls. It also connects Rome to numerous other cities (hence where we get the expression "all roads lead to Rome"). Kelly and I biked a total of 14 miles (half of which were uphill) and then walked 6 more. I counted that as my workout for the day since the thought of doing anything else afterwards seemed dreadful.

Tomb of Cecilia Metella (def the coolest one)
Much love,
-Lucy
