It's about time I've posted something

Well, here is what I did during the week of June 17:

As you can see the information is garbled. Shamefully I
can not remember what I did during that lost week, but I
remember that I skipped out on an unacceptable amount
of workouts, but don't worry ladies, I've kept up the game
since then.

The week of June 24

Monday
Went up to Mount Trashmore again. This time I though it would be fun to do stuff at the bottom and top of the mountain. So I did ten pushups at the bottom of the hill, then I sprinted up and did ten burpies at the top.
I did this seven times. I was working out with my brothers and father. While they were leisurely running laps around the park, I sprinted up the mountain (well technically a hill). Felt good afterwards.

Tuesday
Ran six miles in an hour. To be precise 5.8 miles, but nevertheless the most I had ever done at once. So proud of myself. I didn't think people of my body shape (Think short stocky legs) could run that much so quickly, but I did. So now I know I can totally do six miles and that its absolutely possible for me to run seven or eight miles. Hoo-rah!!!

Wednesday
Rugby Practice! Lotsa running. I'm still working on my handling and figuring out where I need to be. I wanna start doing some drills on my own with a couple of my own balls (Teehee). But for real, by the end of my summer I want to be able to increase my ball handling skills.

Thursday
Went out to the old high school track with ma dad. I did a warm up mile. The plan was to do ten 100m sprints. I did two and on my third I pulled a muscle in my right thigh. Nothing major though, just the result of not properly stretching before and after working out. Lesson learned. Stretch before and after workouts ladies. It's so important! However, just because my legs couldn't work didn't mean I couldn't do an upper body workout. So I did. I did five sets of these:

30 crunches
10 tricep dips
30 sec plank (L, R, Mid)
10 pushups
15 leg lifts
20 mason twists

Friday
The leg is feeling better, but I still didn't want to go out and do drastic things so once again I focused on my upper body. I went to my park district gym and lifted some weights:

Half a mile warm up jog

Heavy lift--Five sets of five
shoulder press (25lbs)
shoulder shrug (35lbs)
bent over rows (35lbs)
Lateral raise (10lbs)
Two arm tricep extension (25lbs)

Then I went home and did some mad push ups five sets of 10

10 regular pushups
10 diamond push ups (Those are so hard to do)
10 wide set push ups
10 leaning push ups for explosion
10 push ups leaning on stairs

I was listening to the Hercules and Mulan soundtrack when I did all of this. So inspiring!

Saturday
Rest. Baked a yummy angel food cake.

Sunday
I ran a warm up mile and did suicides or shuttle runs on a basketball court. I would run to the free throw line and then back. Run to the half court line and back, Run to the other free throw line and back and then run to the other side of the court and then run back. After doing two or three shuttles I thought it would be fun to add a pancake every time I would run to the other side of the court.

I did all of this twenty times. Mind you though I don't think this was a full sized basketball court, but I made it work. Then I jogged /walked back home.

Monday
Biked ten miles.

Hoo-rah, so ready to do more awesome things!! Who's with me!!
