So I'm still sick. It sucks. I tried to run a quarter mile today (ambitious, I know...), and then I coughed out my lung. So I think I'm gonna hold on the running for a few more days.
But, I did spend 4 hours washing my dad's car today. Why is this blog-worthy, you might ask? Well, let me explain.
Wash. Wax. Scrub the wheels. Shine the tires. Get the bug grime off. Vacuum the interior. Clean the leather seats. Condition the leather seats. Do you know how much elbow grease is involved here??? I'm so incredibly sore, it is unbelievable! They should really call it "body grease," because it requires way more than just the elbow, but that sounds gross so I guess elbow grease it is.
So I'm feeling slightly less worthless as a human. Mom's car is on the agenda for tomorrow. And maybe next week, I'll be able to run without black phlegm (yes, it is actually black) coming up every other step. But I will say...I don't hate the weather. Washing a car in shorts in December...reasons why I love the South. Having my life threatened for walking into a girl's bathroom...reasons why I hate the South.
OUT!
ew black phlegm.
ReplyDeletelol if i tried to wash my car outside in shorts right now, I would get pneumonia.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your dad appreciates the body grease you worked into his seats. mmmmmm.
