HAHA, so today for a special treat, I have a flattering photo of a dead water animal. A muskrat, maybe? Unclear. I saw this little critter as I was running on the beach, a harrowing task that I don't recommend to any weak soul...

The truth is, I thought I was going to run on the boardwalk along the beach, but I was running on a trail and all of the sudden I was on the shore, and I just kept going. And unlike the well known poem "Footprints", as my life flashed before me in this terrible jogging journey, rather than seeing God carry me in the rough moments where there was only one footprint, instead I saw Kerri's frown as she scrutinized my bad running form, engrained in the sand. (For poem lyrics, see here.)

The one redeeming factor of the run: this was the view on my way back. The only thing that kept me going was the fact that I had to make it to this damn lighthouse. Both a beautiful (cold) and excruciating form of motivation.

But I did learn a lot about DNA from the podcast I ran with. Then I jammed to the black-eyed peas. There are only so many miles I can run with Sarah Dowdey and Deblina Chakraborty in my ears.
I think it's a kitty cat :(
ReplyDeleteI looked at it quite closely. I can post a few other pics if you want. It is most definitely not a cat.
